Steve Huffman, commonly known by his username Spez, is the CEO and a co-founder of the social news platform, Reddit.
Assuming leadership once again in 2015, Huffman has been at the forefront of the website’s development and strategic direction.
His tenure has not been without controversy, particularly surrounding the decision to place certain aspects of Reddit's API behind a paywall. This decision sparked a significant backlash within the Reddit community. Evidence of dissent was prominently displayed when users emblazoned their frustration with the phrase "Fuck Spez" across the community canvas during the r/place event in 2023.
